Digilooms is an App and Web Program that have been designed to let you create, manage, curate, protect and bequeath your valuable online assets.

It's a combination of Digital and Heirlooms. Of course, looms means something in the future and also an old English word to mean 'Tools' generally.

Digilooms offers three things: The opportunity to organise existing digital assets and make it easy to pass them on. It also provides Executor Master Password Access and 'Expression of Wish' facilities. Finally, it offers an easy way to build a beautiful legacy for your descendents (Through life script and timecapsule functionality)

We consider Digital Assets to be everything we do or save online. There are two main types of Asset: Financial Value: Crypto, Shares, Domain Names, Crowdfunds, Music, Bank Accounts, Intellectual Property etc. Personal Value: Photos, Videos, Scanned Documents, Creative Works etc

Well of course you can. But the advantage of Digilooms is that its functionality is specifically designed to make a Life Script Legacy easy. In Digilooms you can video, curate, organise, upload and manage your digital legacy, so that it is never lost and the right heirlooms, artifacts and messages reaches the people you want, when you want.

Digilooms starts with a standard 2TB of storage. If can opt for more if you wish. This allows you to tailor your storage to your requirements, and even save money by consolidating other storage schmes that you may run.

There is an inescapable overlap between: Online Digital Assets that you create in LifeScript Online Digital Assets that you already have stored somewhere Online Digital Assets that you may have a subscription and password to access Online Financial Assets that you have security and passwords to access What they have in common is you own them, you want to keep them safe and secure and you want to be able to reach your beneficiaries or family in the future. In all cases you may want someone you trust to manage them after you pass. For this reason, Digilooms provides the functionality to handle both Financial and Non-financial assets.

These are fancy names for our services that maybe contunued after you pass. 'Digilooms Generation' is the ability to stop Digilooms Fuctionality and put your Digital Assets in to archived storage which can be accessed for a predetermined time. (A certain date or a number of generations) This is true TimeCapsule stuff. 'In Perpetuity', is the option for members of your family, probably your children, to continue with the Digilooms App and to add their own Life Scripts

A normal Time Capsule would be made of metal and buried underground for future generations. It might consist of all and any sorts of objects that will quickly become dated and curios of the past. It is meant to leave a reminder or a legacy of days and people gone past. A Digital Time Capsule is all on line and it's mostly Videos, Photographs and anything interesting that can be scanned. This might include Passport Pages, Birth certificates, Wedding Receipts, Poems, Sketches, and anything else that you feel should be passed on. With Digilooms, your TimeCapsule can continue for as long as you wish.

You use the modern phone or Ipad to record short videos of yourself talkng about your life. These can be arranged into a sequence, a Life Script as such. Digilloms make it extremely easy to create and save your life story.

The simple answer is as long as you wish. And we make it cheap and easy to do. Digilooms encourages people to choose one of three options for after they pass. 1. Continue with your Digital Assets archived and accessible for a set period of time. (For example, could be until Grandchildren see them, or until your daughter turns twenty-one) This would be view only and you would be paying for storage. 2. It could be continued for up to three generations which is 75 years. 3. Or the third option is for your family to continue with Digilooms and add their own Life Scripts to pass on.

The Digilooms DAM is an online function that allows you to collate and manage your online assets from a single screen. This makes it easier for you, and also allows you to assign Executor privileges and Expression of wishes.

Digilooms Asset Management function is the ability to securely save and store your digital assets and to enable appropriate and easy access to them after you pass. In Digilooms the most important aspect of this is the ability to allow an Executor or trusted Family member, access to your online digital assets.

Yes, in many respects, it is more secure than having multiple accounts with multiple passwords that you struggle to remember.

A LifeScript can many things, but generally it is a collection of short videos mostly of one person telling about their life. But it can also be a message for your family for after you pass. It can be 'words of wisdom' or advice for Great Grandchildren. It can even be a message for your funeral if you wish. Digilooms gives you the opportunity to produces as many LifeScripts as you choose. With the main idea being that you leave a simple legacy behind for your loved ones to learn about you, remember and enjoy.

This is entirely up to you. Your life can be a treasure trove of interesting information for your grandchildren or great grandchildren. Remember, everyone has a story to tell, some of us have many. The questions and prompts will help you think about what you are going to cover. But dont forget, there comes a time in everyone's life when they want to know much more about the previous generations.

We believe that great questions produce beautiful answers. And from basic to more complicated, our questions are formulated to allow you be prompted by questions that mean something to you. Of course, you can always formulate your own questions and same them to be used in your Life Script videos

For this reason, we encourage short clips and the use of our question prompts. With a little practice, anyone can get relaxed talking to the camera, when they have the subjects in front of them. We believe that 'Beautiful Questions produces Beautiful Answers'

No, we have deliberately avoided this. We encourage, informal, natural looking, short videos and we stitch them together for you.

Good question. In most phones, the back camera is better quality, however, in order to see (frame) yourself while you are taking a 'selfie' video, you need to use the front camera, which is perfectly adaquate. Of course, screen prompts, questions and teleprompter can only be seen on the screen and therefore front camera use is required.

Videos are best captured in short bursts of relaxed reminiscing. We want to avoid 'awkward moments' and the need for editing. Of course, you can change the 3 mins default in settings.

It's a simple enough process, but knowing some basic techniques can make a difference in the quality of your story. You will find loads of guides and information here, and some comments and ideas from people who have already done it.

Digilooms provides useable Cloud storage space which costs money, so we cannot offer a totally free product. We do offer a Trial Period and Limited storage option for you to decide if the App is for you. The premium version has secure storage for all your files and functionality to Protect your Digital Assets and help you build a beautiful Timecapsule legacy.

An Executor is someone that you formally assign in your Will to manage the financial aspects of your estate and to distribute assets according to your wishes.

A Digital Asset Manager is the ‘Digital Executor’ who has online access to your Digital Assets and will action your wishes after you pass. Of course, this may overlap greatly with the formal Executor Function, as some of these online assets may have financial value.

An Executor is someone that you formally assign in your Will to manage the financial aspects of your estate and to distribute assets according to your wishes. A Digital Asset Manager is the ‘Digital Executor’ who has online access to your Digital Assets and will action your wishes after you pass. Of course, this may overlap greatly with the formal Executor Function, as some of these online assets may have financial value. A TimeCapsule Manager is the person who will look after the downloading and distribution of your non-financial Assets, such as your lifescript, photos and other family documents that have no recognised Financial value, and are less likely to appear in a will, but you wish to distribute them after you pass. In all cases, these individuals are trusted, and have ethical responsibilities and a duty of care to both you and your beneficiaries, to action your wishes and to manage your assets. If you already have a Will, and an existing Executor, it is possible that they will carry all roles, to avoid confusion. And in many cases, this will be your spouse or a sibling. How the Executor / Digital Assets Manager works with Digilooms is entirely up to you. While we would always recommend that people should have a Will, we understand that some don’t bother. There are four choices as to how Digilooms Executor functionality can work. 1. Co-access Where your Executor always has access to your Assets. They will sign up and register a password with Digilooms. This means that technically they would always have access, but you’d be informed if someone logged in. It is best used when you need help to manage your online assets. (It could be for your spouse or your children for example) 2. Master Password This is where your Executor has been emailed a Master Password and has confirmed their own contact details. They will be allowed to login to take control after you pass. The use of this Master Password would inform Digilooms that the account was now in the name of the Executor. 3. Formal Proof This is where you can choose to insist that any Executor can only gain access after providing proof (Death Certificate) to Digilooms. This is more likely where you are using a professional Executor. 4. Hard Copy Password Access If you prefer secrecy on what you are doing at Digilooms, you can print off a long Master Password along with logon instructions, to be kept in an envelope, somewhere safe, to be found after you pass. In addition, in Digilooms, you can choose the Executor / Digital Assets Manager to be separate from the Time Capsule Manager. The reason for this option is very simple. Your Time Capsule memories may be managed by someone who doesn’t want or have the necessary experience to handle your whole estate, especially the financial aspects. For most people, it will be simple. A single person may be enough to handle everything. But we provide the flexibility for you to choose your own arrangements. The other aspect of our online access and legacy that can be triggered is the failure of your direct debit or credit card. This maybe be a bank error, a change in credit card or a simple cancellation of your subscription. Or it might indicate that your estate is being managed. In any case, Digilooms commits to sending initial reminder emails to you, and if no response, the same email will be resent to include the Executors or Manager that you cited on registration.
